a. FEWACCI Secretariat
The Secretariat manages day-to-day operations and represents FEWACCI at regional levels. It is led by an Executive Director and is headquartered at the ECOWAS Commission in Abuja, Nigeria.
- Addressing trade-related issues and coordinating responses.
- Monitoring ECOWAS Commission activities.
- Managing partnerships and donor relations.
- Sharing information with National Chambers.
b. The Executive Office
The Executive Bureau is composed of six members, elected for a two-year term:
- President
- 1st Vice-President
- 2nd Vice-President
- 3rd Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Deputy Treasurer
c. FEWACCI Technical Working Committee (TWC)
The TWC, made up of senior officials from National Chambers, advises on technical issues and holds meetings at least twice a year.
d. National Focal Points
Presidents of National Chambers serve as National Focal Points, responsible for implementing FEWACCI programs in their countries and coordinating positions in international fora.
FEWACCI’s Objectives in Supporting Beauty West Africa 2024
- Promoting Regional Economic Integration: Supporting Beauty West Africa 2024 allows FEWACCI to promote the beauty sector as a key part of the region's growing economy.
- Providing Business Support: FEWACCI offers access to the event for SMEs, manufacturers, and distributors to connect with international brands and investors.
- Encouraging Private Sector Investment: FEWACCI facilitates discussions on investment in local beauty brands, supply chains, and infrastructure.
- Advocating for Trade Facilitation: FEWACCI advocates for harmonizing regulations and promoting tools like the ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS).
- Connecting SMEs and Entrepreneurs: FEWACCI supports SMEs and entrepreneurs, especially women and youth, in gaining market access and building partnerships.
- Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing: FEWACCI facilitates capacity-building workshops and knowledge sharing at Beauty West Africa 2024.
- Strengthening Public-Private Dialogue: FEWACCI helps bridge the gap between businesses and policymakers to create a more favorable business environment.
